This is a great next level type of course. Like a bowling mindset 301 college course. While there are some basics, this is really applicable for the competitive bowler more than the one night a week league bowler. There is immense value in the course as it gives the person taking it a mental toolbox to turn to when things aren’t going well or you need to help yourself back into a flow state. There are tools for dealing with bad shots as well as tools for not getting too high and losing focus when things are going well.

Where to start? I have always struggled with bad shots leading to very negative feelings, which can take over my game. While I don't think these thoughts will ever be completely eradicated, Felicia has really helped me in dealing with them before they completely take over. Nothing complicated, just the process of a specific breathing pattern incorporated into the pre shot routine has really helped. It had the knock on effect of pretty much eliminating distractions on the lanes as I've become more focused.

I’ve been bowling since I was four years old, and it hasn’t always been sunshine and rainbows. Bowling is one of the most humbling and rewarding things I have done in my life. To throw that perfect shot and see the ball do exactly what you intended and hear the sound of the ball knocking down all ten pins is like nothing else. And yet, there are times when it can get the best of me and make me feel like I’m the worst bowler in the world.

A bit dramatic, yes? Even though I know that, I’ve still felt it.

About 8 years ago now, I made a switch. I realized I get to decide how I want to experience bowling. I took a deep dive into why I bowled and what I wanted. I looked at the self-talk, the things that held me back, even subconsciously, and I’ve worked hard at upgrading those patterns and thoughts ever since.

I have been on Team Canada for 16 years, and have been bowling full time on the Professional Women’s Bowling Association (PWBA) Tour for five seasons. During that time, I have won numerous international medals and made three PWBA finals!

It has been a wild ride, and I want to share my learnings with you, so you can spare yourself some of the heartache and missteps I experienced.

Whether you compete in tournaments regularly or bowl league one night a week, this mental game approach can improve your game. This course teaches tools and structures to support what you want to achieve at any level.
Yes, this course is appropriate for youth bowlers. Some topics go into depth, so I recommend that youth bowlers be at least 15 years old.
The course is designed for bowlers to use the tools themselves. Parents may find it harder to pass the structures and techniques along, so it may be less helpful if the bowler isn’t taking part directly.
No. This course meets you where you are. It helps you build structure around your mental game, support more consistent performance, and leave less up to chance.
My approach looks at the whole bowler, including the mental side of performance. This course gives you structures and tools to help you show up more consistently on the lanes. If you already work with a bowling coach, it can complement that work and help you apply what you’re learning.
There will be four live calls on November 12, 15, 19, and 22. In each call, we’ll cover a pillar of the course and allow time for reflection, discussion, and Q&A. There will be a workbook included, and access to a private Facebook community for thoughts, insights, and additional questions. You will have lifetime access to the course materials.
There are four live 1-hour calls scheduled for Thursday and Sunday evenings. You are free to attend live, or there will be pre-recorded sessions for you to watch if you cannot attend live.
Some tools may make a difference right away. Others take practice and time to become part of your game. The more consistently you use them, the more they can support you on the lanes.
Yes. Many of the tools in this course can be used in other parts of life, too. I believe how we approach one thing often carries over into others, and bowling has taught me many lessons I use beyond the lanes.
